Hydrogen tank safety is a priority in Hyto Energy’s designs, with features addressing pressure, leakage, and impact risks. High-pressure tanks (35MPa/70MPa) use multi-layer composite construction (carbon fiber + polymer liners) to withstand extreme pressure and collisions. They include pressure relief valves that vent hydrogen safely if overpressurized and burst discs as a secondary safety measure. Leak detectors and automatic shutoff valves prevent unintended release. Liquid tanks use vacuum insulation to minimize boil-off, with pressure management systems to control internal pressure. All tanks undergo rigorous testing: fire exposure, drop tests, and cyclical pressure testing per ISO 19880 and SAE J2579. Hyto’s hydrogen tanks meet global safety standards, ensuring safe use in vehicles, stations, and industrial settings.
