Hydrogen storage is a critical component of Hyto Energy’s hydrogen energy systems, enabling the capture, preservation, and on-demand use of hydrogen across diverse applications. Hyto offers two primary storage technologies to meet varying needs: metal hydride systems and pressure/temperature-controlled tanks. Metal hydride storage leverages chemical reactions between hydrogen and metals such as magnesium, titanium, and zirconium, forming stable metal hydrides that securely trap hydrogen. This method offers high storage density (hydrogen is stored within the metal lattice) and exceptional safety, as hydrogen is released only when heated, eliminating the risks of high-pressure leaks. It is ideal for small-scale, mobile, or residential applications—such as home energy systems or fuel cell vehicles—where compactness and safety are paramount. For larger-scale or long-distance transport needs, Hyto provides high-pressure gaseous tanks (35MPa and 70MPa) and liquid hydrogen tanks. High-pressure tanks, constructed from lightweight composites, are designed for fuel cell vehicles and medium-scale stationary storage, balancing storage capacity with weight. Liquid tanks use ultra-low temperature (-253°C) to liquefy hydrogen, reducing its volume significantly for efficient long-term storage or transport. All storage solutions are engineered to maintain hydrogen purity, ensuring it remains suitable for use in fuel cells or industrial processes. By offering versatile, safe, and efficient storage options, Hyto enables hydrogen to be used when and where it is needed, overcoming the challenges of energy intermittency and supporting the widespread adoption of hydrogen energy.
